I finished this little flower painting last night! I’ve been trying to sneak in short painting sessions each night. I’m hoping to start of few more of this smaller paintings this weekend and if I’m feeling ambitious, I might start on a larger piece. It feels like a long time since I’ve painted a large canvas.
My weekend has been filled with painting and podcasts. Now it’s time to lesson plan and get ready for the work week. Hopefully I will be able to sneak in a little painting today. My goal for the week is to complete three small paintings and to start one larger piece. I’m going to try to paint for an hour (maybe two) each night. I hope everyone has a great week!
Here are two new paintings. One is my daily painting from yesterday and the other is one from last week that I forgot to post.
My first week back to school was incredibly busy so I didn’t have much time to paint. Hopefully things will slow down a bit and I’ll be able to paint for an hour or so each night. I was able to sneak in a couple of hours yesterday and I completed this little abstract floral painting. I’m trying to change things up on my palette a bit. I love the way the purples and reds look look together.
I haven’t kept up with my daily paintings this week because I’ve been getting my classroom ready for back to school! School officially starts on Monday so my daily painting is coming to a screeching halt. My goal is to complete about 3 paintings per week during the school year. I’m also going to be working on some new art classes!
I’m working on some new floral compositions. This one looked totally different in my head but overall I’m happy with it. I will definitely try this composition again, maybe with some slight changes.
The colors were off on this little one so I reworked it and I’m much happier now. Abstract flowers on August 17.
I hate to play favorites… not really! These are my 3 favorite abstract flower paintings from this past week!
I wanted to try something new with my abstract flowers today so I added a second canvas to yesterday’s painting and turned it into a diptych!
I started this one yesterday and finished it today so I’m calling it the August 14th daily painting.
