I created a new Skillshare class this week, “Learn How to Paint a Colorful Pineapple with Acrylic Paint!” Flowers are my usual subject matter but I’ve been experimenting this week and I was pretty happy with the way my pineapple turned out so I thought I’d share it with you.

This class is for beginners. I start off the class by showing you the supplies that I am using. I have listed all of the paint colors I used below the video but feel free to change it up and create your own unique palette! I also show you how I sketch my pineapple onto my canvas using a pencil. Then I walk you through the process of outlining the image, blocking in your colors, and adding highlights.

New paintings from today's studio session.

I spent a few hours in my studio today working on some more small pieces. I’m not sure if you can see it in the picture but they painting that is laying flat has a serious amount of texture. There must be 10 layers of paint on that little canvas!
