Yesterday, I painted these little flowers with acrylic paint on a small 6 x 6 inch canvas. This size canvas was fun because it has a large profile and I carried the painting over to the sides as you can see in the pictures below. I also challenged myself to use a limited color palette which was a great exercise for me! I’m used to grabbing 10 or 12 different tubes during a painting session. I painted this one with only 5 colors: pyrrole red, cadmium yellow medium, turquoise phthalo, titanium white, and carbon black.
