Hi Everyone! I’m guessing you love to paint flowers as much as I do!
In my video tutorial, I show you the easiest way to paint abstract flowers on canvas with acrylic paint! This tutorial is for beginner level artists. It is super easy to follow even if you have never painted before. I will walk you through my whole painting process step by step. I show you how I create a simple sketch of my composition, how I draw my sketch onto my canvas using pastels, how I block in my colors, add layers, and finishing details that make my painting really pop!

Create a simple sketch of your composition using basic geometric shapes.
Draw your sketch onto your canvas using pastels or acrylic paint.
Use acrylic paint to trace your flowers and leaves.
Choose your acrylic paint colors and block in your shapes on your canvas.
Start to add thin layers of acrylic paint.
Keep adding layers of paint until you are happy with your flowers!

10 x 10 inch student grade canvas. Paper works, too!
Strathmore palette paper - or use a paper plate.
Pastel stick (I used Prismacolor)Paint brushes.
Paper towels.
Water to clean your brushes.
